At this year’s awards, The Wara Manta Reserve Shiraz 2002 won Gold, following on from last year’s success at the London International Wine Competition where it won Silver. Managing Director, Mr Frank Nardone, is pictured, left, with Nardone Baker's European Manager Marketing, Ms Victoria Lewis, at the London International Wine Fair, where our wine was very popular with trade representatives. “We are in great company,” says Mr Frank Nardone, in relation to the Top Ten ranking. “Our wines now share the international stage with the likes of other great Australian producers such as Yalumba and Peter Lehmann.” Against more than 5,500 entries from France, Italy, Spain, USA, South Africa, New Zealand, Germany, etc, the Decanter judges were impressed by The Wara Manta’s oak/fruit balance with the oak in subtle ascendancy. Mr Nardone attributes the continuing success of The Wara Manta to the skill of our winemaker, Brian Light, former Australasian Winemaker of the Year. “Brian’s experience has helped us create a wine label that is now trusted worldwide for quality and consistency,” said Mr Nardone. “I meet regularly with retailers and restaurateurs around the world, and the feedback I get is that they appreciate the consistency of our product each vintage." |

Decanter World Wine Awards in London has named Nardone Baker The Wara Manta Reserve Shiraz in the Top Ten Shiraz in the world, priced above £10 ($AU25).
