BYO Wine - Some Tips

If you are thinking of taking your own wine to a restaurant, here are a few tips to make the experience a pleasant one.

Firstly, it pays to check with the restaurant to see if they are happy for you to "BYO".

Secondly, if you are going to take your own wine, it is good manners to take wine the restaurant doesn't already stock and/or take a wine of special significance, such as a Nardone Baker wine (hint, hint)!

Remember that you will be charged a corkage fee. You might want to ask what that is ahead of time to determine whether it still makes bringing your own wine worthwhile.
